Podcast Suite for Joomla! 1.5… coming soon!
A lot of people have been asking “when will there be a copy of Podcast Suite for Joomla! 1.5?” If you’re one of those people, I have some good news for you: we’re close to a beta! You can take a sneak peek at the code here. If you’re handy with SVN, you can also check out a copy and give it a spin. My hope is to get a beta out this month.

Sounds good Joseph-
I’m one of those late arrivals to Joomla, having never used 1.0x…and jumped tight into 1.5, before realizing that you’ve created the only podcaster that’s worth a darn.
And I really don’t want to convert my whole site to 1.0 just to use your podcaster, since it looks like the only way to do that is manually.
So. Looking forward to tasting the podcastSuite beta.
( put a test 1.0 site out there and your podcastSuite sure is sweet running on “1″.)
Thanks,
rick
awesome!!
i was just looking for a solution for my recent joomla installation. i will wait a little longer while i set up other things there.
cheers! and thank you
:]
Awesome!! Thank you very much, I’ve been patiently waiting for podcast functions for J! 1.5… There is NO other podcast module / component for joomla that works as well as podcast suite!
That’s good news. I started a J1.5 site without bothering to figure out how I was going to handle Podcasting.
Reading this I feel like Kirstie Alley in front of the microwave: “Hurry! Hurry!”
Great news mate. I have tried out all the other podcasting options and yours is without compare. I will continue driving on with the other elements of my site while I wait. I hope it wont be too long.
Get the finger out!
Hello guys,
I have checked out a copy of the SVN repository and then I pack all under /trunk/component in a zip-file.
If I want to install the component I get:
“The XML file did not contain an administration element”
Whats wrong? Please help me …
Liz
Hi Liz,
The XML file doesn’t yet list all of the files in the package. To use the SVN copy, you’ll want to check out the admin directory to /administrator/components/com_podcast and the front directory to /components/com_podcast, then run the query in the TODO file.
I am soooooo looking forward to getting this back. Thanks so much for all of your hard work!
any idea on when it will be ready?
Thank you admin
It works!
